The Vice-Chancellor of University of Jammu, Prof Mohan Paul Singh Ishar, today launched an online pay slip facility for faculty and officials, PRO of Jammu University Vinay Thusoo said here.
Prof Ishar said the online process would not only be cost effective but would also reduce workload on the staff in the budget and finance sections and bring in transparency.
The software ensures foolproof confidentiality of the staff who can download salary statements by just logging in to Jammu University's website with their user-name and password, he said.
The Vice-Chancellor further said the University used to face difficulty in providing timely pay slip to nine off site campuses, but by this facility, a major bottleneck has been overcome.
