Everester Anshu Jamsenpa Thursday said she has dedicated the Tenging Norgey Adventure award which she received on Tuesday to all women.
Jamsenpa was conferred the Tenzing Norgey Adventure award by President Ram Nath Kovid on Tuesday.
"I would like to give them (women) the message that I know how hard it is to be born as a woman and to achieve something on your own is even harder. But perseverance pays off. Keep moving ahead never give up, believe in you," she told PTI over phone from New Delhi.
"I am feeling elated, thrilled, excited and very happy, congratulations have been showering on me and many like you asked about my feeling. My reaction was simple that good deeds never go unrewarded. If you really deserve you will get it sooner or later," she said.
The 32-year-old mother of two said "This is the highest award in the field of adventure sports and what more could I ask for."
Jamsenpa had scaled Mt Everest twice in a span of five days in May last year.
