The Odisha Government today named former Union Secretary of Food Processing Industries Rangalal Jamuda as the chairperson of the State Food Commission.
The three-member commission mandated to monitor and evaluate implementation of the National Food Security Act (NFSA), would have two other members.
Former CBI Special Judge Manoj Kumar Panda and former Lawmaker Sipra Mallick were named as two other members of the State Food Commission.

Keeping Jamuda's experience and required qualification in view, Jamuda was chosen among 27 aspirants for the post, officials in the Chief Minister's Office said.
Jamuda had recently superannuated from service and has vast knowledge and experience on Food Security, Policy Making and administration in the field of agriculture and allied sector, they said.
Sipra Mallick, the new member of the SFC was a former lawmaker from Kendrapara from 2009 to 2014.
Manoj Kumar Panda, a former Judge, also superannuated recently from the judicial service and was Special Judge, CBI.
