Fresh from her successful recurring role as a media company CEO in 'The Newsroom', the 74-year-old two-time Oscar winner is set to play the lead in the upcoming ABC series, reported E! online.
Fonda will play a mum whose daughter slams her in an online blog, prompting the pair to move in together in a bid to sort out their differences.
The "Barbarella" star will also executive produce the comedy.
