Janet Jackson announces 'Unbreakable World Tour' dates

Singer-actress Janet Jackson will do a world tour for the first time in four years, in support of her forthcoming new album for Rhythm Nation/BMG.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the first 36-date leg of the 49-year-old "Nasty" hitmaker's "Unbreakable World Tour" will kick off on August 31 in Vancouver, BC. The last concert is scheduled to take place in North America on November 12 in Honolulu.

More worldwide concerts will be announced at a later date.

In addition to Live Nation and Rhythm Nation, other concert promoters will include Nederlander Concerts, Jam Productions, Another Planet Entertainment and such promoters as Bamp and Tommy Meharey who will produce the Honolulu dates.
 

Jackson,49, is one of the most-decorated acts in Hot 100 history, with 10 Number one singles and 27 top tens.
