It has said the Tuesday market is held along with the regular market which results in congestion of the roads, thus causing hardship to residents of the area as well as the general public.
The plea has sought that the weekly market be allowed on Monday when the regular markets of the area are closed down.
It has also prayed that no more than 300 squatters be allowed to sell their wares on the day of the weekly market and that too from designated spots.
It has claimed no action has been taken by the authorities as well as the local police station at Hazrat Nizamuddin despite repeated representations by the residents of the area.
