Condemning the ongoing violence in Kashmir, a civil liberty group today demanded resumption of "unconditional dialogue" to find a solution to the problems in the state.

In a statement, Janhastakshep demanded "immediate resumption of unconditional dialogue with the real leaders of the Kashmiri people in order to find a lasting solution of the problem".

It also demanded immediate end to the "repression" in Kashmir and "strict punishment" for the perpetrators of violence.

Normal life has remained paralysed in the Valley following violent protests against the killing of Hizbul commander Burhan Wani since July 9 and firing by security forces had claimed 39 lives so far.
