Japanese Min-On concert mesmerises audiences

To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the India Japan Culture Treaty, a cultural performance by a Japanese performing arts group was organised here.

Organised by Min-On Concert Association in collaboration with the Indian Council of Cultural Relation (ICCR), the event at Siri Fort Auditorium last night by Hana-Zakura (Cherry Blossoms) group, was aimed at promoting cultural ties between the two countries.

The year 2017 marks the 60th anniversary of the India Japan Culture Treaty to encourage cultural exchanges and promote world peace.

Min-On was founded in 1963 at the initiative of Daisaku Ikeda, President of Soka Gakkai International (SGI) and has since grown to become one of Japan's leading cultural institutions.
