Japanese packaging industry delegation meets CM

: A delegation of Japan based Takemoto Yohki company today met the Chief Minister N Rangasamy at his chamber and held discussions on possible investments.

Takemoto Yohki is a packaging industry in Japan.

Led by the Company Chief Executive Officer Etsuko Takemoto, the other members included Iain Tilbrook, International Marketing Manager, Japan and Wel Vijay, Executive Director of Takemoto (India).

Official sources said the delegation had visited various States, including Gujarat, Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra and held discussions with officials in these states as they are looking for investment in India.

The industry has seven units in Japan and two in China, a release said.
 

Puducherry might be one of the options for investment in India, the release claimed.

Welfare and Labour Minister P Rajavelu was also present during the discusions.

Rangasamy later told reporters that the government would go into the possiblity of associating the Japanese firm for its initiative here in consonance with the Industrial Policy of the government.
