Jaquar Lighting signs Deepika Padukone as brand ambassador

Bath fittings and sanitary ware major Jaquar Group today said it has roped in Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone as the brand ambassador for its lighting vertical.

Jaquar Lighting aims to grow by over three times by the next financial quarter, taking its current turnover of Rs 100 crore to Rs 350 crore, it said in a statement.

The Lighting vertical will have a 360-degree marketing campaign and Jaquar Lighting Director Ranbir Mehra said, "the aggressive marketing campaign will help us grow from 1,000 retail stores to 3,000 by the first quarter of 2017."

BSE-SME listed Majestic Research Services and Solutions Ltd has reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 4.63 crore for the year ended March 31, 2017 up 146 per cent over last year.

Consolidated income from operations for the year under review grew by 105% to Rs 22.93 crore last year, a company statement said.

"Despite a relatively uncertain global macroeconomic environment, our growth was driven by our customers reposing their trust in MRSS. Going forward we are looking at consolidation, inculcating more fiduciary discipline, and stringent processes leading to operational excellence," MRSS India chairman Raj Sharma said.

Earnings before interest, tax and other income margin grew to 32.5 per cent for the year under review compared to 26.66 per cent in the preceding year.

Schneider Electric has plans to invest around 100 million Euros in the coming five years.

These investments will be for improving competency on skill in India, R&D and innovation and sustainability.

We have invested quite significantly in India. In the past 10 years we have invested roughly around 800 million euro. In the country (India) we plan to invest another 100 million euros at least in the next coming five years, the company officials said.

For 2017, Schneider Electric targets an organic revenue growth between 1 to 3 per cent for the Group outside infrastructure.

The company hopes that around 50 per cent of the products manufactured in India are exported across the world.

The company has recently bagged a contract from Naya Raipur Development Authority (NRDA) to develop the first green field integrated smart city in Chhattisgarh. The company has 28 factories and is present in 50 cities across the country. ----------------------------------------------------------- Randstad India appoints Paul Dupuis as new CEO

Human Resource service provider Randstad India today announced the appointment of Paul Dupuis as its new Chief Executive Officer.

Dupuis is taking over from Moorthy K Uppaluri, who served as the MD and CEO of Randstad India over the last four years, the company said in a release.

Prior to joining Randstad India, Paul served as the Managing Director of Professionals (Search and Selection), Engineers (temp and perm), RPO and GCS of Randstad Japan from 2013, where he was inducted as a board member in 2014.
