The All-India Jat Aarakshan Sangharsh Samiti (AIJASS) today threatened to launch a protest if the government fails to give reservation in education and government jobs to members of the community by October 14.

In a meeting here, leaders of the Jat body said they would announce their stir on October 15 in a meeting along with representatives of the community from the village and block levels.

Senior AIJASS leaders Veerbhan Dhul and Bharat Singh said that no action had been taken by the government despite several rounds of deliberations.

"If the demands are not met by October 14, we will announce our protest in the meeting," they said.
