The Jat community members threatened to launch fresh stir again if the Haryana government failed to include the community in the OBC list, saying the reservation announced for them was "lame and incomplete".

A resolution to this effect was passed by Akhil Bhartiya Jat Arakshan Sangharsh Samiti in its meeting here today which was presided over by Yash Pal Malik, the national president of the outfit.

"We have rejected the reservation announced by Haryana government because it is useless till the Union government ratifies it through a special ordinance," Dharam Pal Chhot, state president of the Samiti told reporters here.

"On September 13, we shall re-launch agitation for the fulfillment of our demand," he said.

The Jat leaders have also decided to meet all Jat MPs to raise their voice over the issue in Parliament during the monsoon session.

Haryana government had announced 10 per cent Special Backward reservation to five castes, including Jats. The government has notified the order.

However, the Samiti members were apprehensive about implementing the quota as with the additional 10 per cent reservation, the permissible limit of 50 per cent on quota would be exceeded.
