A basic education officer of Jaunpur district was terminated by Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Minister Ram Govind Chaudhary following allegations of irregularities in recruitment of Anganbari workers.
Lokayukta has indicted Jaunpur BEO Ram Pravesh and recommended action against him following which he was terminated from his services, Chaudhary said today.
Pravesh was facing charges of irregularities in recruitment of Anganbari workers as district programme officer in 2007-2008, he said.
Basic education officers of Allahabad, Maharajganj, Mainpuri, Jalaun and Hamirpur were also suspended recently for irregularities in distribution of dresses, transfer of teachers and for demanding bribe, the minister added.
