BJP MP Prakash Javadekar today dismissed as "ridiculous and distorted" the content of a sting operation which allegedly caught him and another party lawmaker discussing ways to "manipulate" complainant in Tulsiram Prajapati fake encounter case.
"Somebody is giving some information and we are asking him a few things. Where is the vakalatnama being spoken about and where was it submitted.... There is nothing," Javadekar told reporters.
He said the ruling Congress, which has demanded Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi's resignation as the main accused in the case Amit Shah is his close aide, has been reduced to doing politics over a "ridiculous and distorted" CD.
The journalist, who carried out the sting, has also filed a PIL in the Supreme Court accusing Javadekar and another party MP Bhupendra Singh Yadav of "conspiring" to impede trial in the case and demanded probe into the CD's content.
