Jawan kills two colleagues, injures two others in Kishtwar

In a case of fratricide, a jawan opened fire on his colleagues killing two of them and injuring as many others in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Jawan Vijay Kumar opened indiscriminate firing in a barrack of 48 Battalion of SSB in District Police Line, Kishtwar at around 0230 hours in the wee hours today killing Constable Vir Singh on the spot, while three others- Head Constable Narinder Kumar, Constables-- Pavitar and Habeebul Islam were injured and admitted to a hospital, he said.

Later Head Constable Narinder Singh died during treatment at the hospital, the officer said.

The accused jawan was later arrested, he said, police is investigating the case.
