"Till now there has not been enough strictness following which a number of communal incidents have taken place in the state," Jawwad said today while sharing dais with a group of Hindu spiritual leaders from Ayodhya to appeal for restoring normalcy in trouble-torn Faizabad.
Warning that it would be a "failure" on part of the state government if it fails to control the situation, Jawwad also sought action against "slack" officials, besides toughest of the measures to keep the communal forces under check.
The Muslim cleric demanded that the trouble makers of Faizabad be identified with the help of video footage, and punished as per the law.
