Jay-Z accepts platinum plaque for 'Magna Carta... Holy Grail'

Rapper Jay-Z bagged his 12th platinum album award for his just released 'Magna Carta... Holy Grail', which easily sold one million copies via a mobile company's device app deal.

The 43-year-old rap superstar was presented with the plaque by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for his new album sold through the Samsung deal, reported Ace Showbiz.

Jay-Z's 'MCHG' outshone his close friend Kanye West's controversial album 'Yeezus' and Justin Timberlake's highest-selling debut this year.

The rapper himself was also quite hopeful about the award and had tweeted seceral times expressing his logic on why his new album should be declared platinum even before it actually hits stores.
