Jaya meets Prez

Jayalalithaa today met President Pranab Mukherjee while three Union ministers today called on her during her visit to the national capital.

Minister for Communications & Information Technology Ravi Shankar Prasad, Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Nirmala Sitharaman and Minister of State for Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises Pon Radhakrishnan met Jayalalithaa here and held discussions.

"It was a courtesy call... Certain other issues of development concerning my department were also discussed. I, in particular, referred to the scope for development of electronics manufacturing in Tamil Nadu, which she also agreed," Prasad told reporters after the meeting.

Asked whether AIADMK should extend support to the NDA government in the Rajya Sabha, Radhakrishnan replied that all political parties must come forward to support the present government.
