Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa today thanked her Gujarat counterpart Anandiben Patel for contributing Rs five crore towards flood relief activities in the state.
"I appreciate your gesture in reaching out to the people of Tamil Nadu in this hour of distress," she said in a letter to Patel.
Her government was "relentlessly" striving to restore normalcy in the affected districts and was committed to achieving it at the earliest, she told Patel.
