Jaya unveils multi-level car parking system

: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa unveiled a multi-level car parking facility constructed at a cost of Rs 43 crore at Nungambakkam here.

Through a video conferencing facility from the Secretariat, Jayalalithaa today inaugurated the car parking facility constructed by Chennai Corporation in association with health care service provider Apollo Hospital Enterprises Ltd, an official release said.

Chennai Corporation alloted 2.68 lakh square foot land at Wallace Garden, Nungambakkam for construction of the parking facility and Apollo Hospital Enterprises was selected to manage it under the Design, Build, Operate and transfer basis.

The car parking facility comprises of seven floors. As many as 249 cars, 230 motorcycles can be parked at the facility at a time.
 

Chennai Corporation would receive an annual revenue of Rs 46 lakh as annual rent and it can be increased by five per cent every year, it said.
