Jaypee Infra Q4 net grows 7-fold to Rs 96 cr

Net sales rose 7.62% to Rs 823.40 crore in the January-March quarter of 2014-15

Jaypee Infratech today reported over 7-fold jump in standalone net profit to Rs 96.25 crore for the quarter ended March 2015.

The Jaypee Group firm, which operates Yamuna Expressway linking Delhi to Agra, had reported a net profit of Rs 13.19 crore in the same quarter previous fiscal.

Net sales rose 7.62 per cent to Rs 823.40 crore in the January-March quarter of 2014-15, from Rs 765.06 crore a year ago, it said in a regulatory filing to BSE.

Its total expenditure stood at Rs 498.90 crore for the quarter under review against Rs 512.10 crore in the previous fiscal.
 

Finance costs totalled Rs 223.99 crore while tax expenses read Rs 5.23 crore for the said quarter.

The company, however, did not give consolidated figures for the period under review.

For the full year, it reported a 17.63 per cent increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 350.44 crore against Rs 297.90 crore for 2013-14.

The stock was trading at Rs 15.90, up 10.80 per cent, on BSE.
