Drug firm JB Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals today reported an over two-fold jump in its standalone net profit at Rs 49.89 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2015 on account of higher operating profit and other income.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 24.16 crore for the same period a year ago, JB Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals said in a filing to BSE.
Standalone total income from operations rose to Rs 278.35 crore for the quarter under consideration as against Rs 263.46 crore for the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.

Shares of JB Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals today closed at Rs 267.65 per scrip on BSE, up 3.96 per cent from its previous close.
