The appeals filed by former Haryana Chief Minister O P Chautala and 54 others, convicted in the JBT scam, would now be heard by a new bench of the Delhi High Court.

Justice Mukta Gupta today transfered the matter to the court of Justice G P Mittal and fixed April 26 for hearing of the case citing "change in roster" after appointment of more judges to the high court.

"Let the matter be listed before the roster bench," the order said.

Earlier also the appeal and bail pleas of JBT scam convicts were listed before the court of Justice Mittal, but he had sent the matter last week to the court of Justice Gupta after the counsel for the petitioners informed the court that Justice Gupta has already heard arguments from parties on the bail pleas of the convicts.

On January 22, the trial court had convicted and sentenced Chautala and nine others, including his son Ajay Chautala, to ten years jail-term for illegally recruiting 3,206 junior teachers in 2000.

Among othe convicts 44 have been sentenced to four years jail term and one was sentenced to five year jail term in the case.
