Jammu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) today threatened to call a bandh across Jammu region if the state government failed to provide compensation to affected traders in the Kishtwar violence as per their actual losses.

"The government has failed to provide compensation to affected traders of Kishtwar whose business establishments were damaged in the violence. If the government failed to provide them compensation as per their actual losses at the earliest, we will go for agitation and even call a bandh across Jammu region," JCCI president Y V Sharma told reporters here.

He said traders will not accept two to five lakhs rupees of compensation which was decided by the government, as their original losses are in several lakhs of rupees.
