"If the Congress-led UPA government has even an iota of morality left then it should rollback the anti-people measures like FDI in multi-brand retail, diesel price hike, rationing of subsidized LPG cylinders," the Bihar state unit JD(U) president Vashistha Narayan Singh told reporters.
Besides the anger of the people, the UPA government should take lessons from success of the opposition-sponsored nationwide bandh and withdrawal of support by the TMC headed by the West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, while the DMK and SP, also supporting the government, lent moral support to the stir, he said.
