Lone JD(U) MLA in Delhi assembly Shoaib Iqbal today expressed his willingness to join Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) but Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said the party is yet to take a call on this.
"I met the Chief Minister today and expressed my willingness to join the party. I have received a positive response and I may join the party in the next two days.
"Since I am a lone JD(U) MLA, there should not be a problem in joining the party as it would not invite disqualification under the anti-defection law," Iqbal told PTI.

The party, however, remained non-commital over welcoming him in the party.
Kejriwal told reporters that "he (Iqbal) met me for his personal work and also expressed his willingness to join the party. We are looking into it."
Party sources said AAP is skeptical about taking Iqbal into the party-fold because of cases against him. Also, before JD(U), he was also a Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) MLA.
Early this week, Iqbal, who has extended his support to the government, had threatened to pull the rug over some remarks made by AAP leader Kumar Vishwas.
He later said that he had met the Chief Minister who assured him that Vishwas would not make such statements and will continue to support the AAP government.
