During today's questioning, the MLA admitted to travelling in the train on January 17 but claimed he did not abuse the couple.
Earlier, he had denied travelling in the train.
JD(U) has suspended Alam in the wake of Rajdhani Express incident.
His suspension came hours after Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar categorically said law would take its own course in the case.
"Be it MP or MLA, nobody is bigger than law. The police has freedom to act lawfully against those breaking law," Kumar had said yesterday.

The Railway SP said that one bodyguard and a personal staff, who had accompanied Alam, during journey on the train have also been arrested in the case.
The two were with the MLA during the journey and aided Alam in misbehaving with the couple, the SP said.
The lawyer, who accompanied Alam to GRP Patna, pleaded for bail to the MLA as all sections levelled against him in the case are bailable.
The Railway SP said "we are taking legal opinion on bail plea on behalf of the MLA."
The Jokihat MLA was kept at GRP Patna after the arrest.
