Janata Dal (United) today said it was preparing to contest all the 14 Lok Sabha and 81 Assembly seats in Jharkhand on its own.
"We will field our candidates in all the 14 Lok Sabha and 81 Assembly seats in Jharkhand and are preparing accordingly," JD-U Jharkhand unit President Gopal Krishna Patar alias Raja Peter said.
Peter was here to take part in JD(U)'s Palamau workers' convention.

About the possibility of an alliance with any political party in the next election, he said JD(U) Jharkhand unit would not take any decision in this regard on its own but follow the directives of the party high command.
The JD(U) leader admitted that dearth of good leaders in the party in the state has weakened the organisation and urged leaders with socialists background to unite and strengthen secular fabric of the country.
He suggested party leaders to interact with people and take up issues related to their interest to strengthen the organisation.
