JD(U) has petitioned Bihar Legislative Council chairperson Awadesh Narayan Singh for disqualification of three rebel MLCs -- Narendra Singh, Mahachandra Prasad Singh and Samrat Chaudhary -- for anti-party activities.
JD(U) chief whip Sanjay Gandhi told reporters here today that he has petitioned Singh for disqualification of the three MLCs as they have been indulging in anti-party activities for long.
Assembly polls are on in Bihar and only the fifth phase of polling is left to be held on November 5.

On the delay in starting disqualification proceedings against the three rebel MLCs, state Education Minister P K Shahi said the party leadership was busy in preparations and campaigning for the assembly polls due to which it has taken time to initiate action against them.
