JD(U) seeks public apology from RLSP leader for remark against Nitish Kumar

The party asked the leader to be prepared for legal action if an apology was not tendered

Press Trust of India Patna
The JD(U) today asked Rashtriya Lok Samata Party (RLSP) president Arun Kumar to tender a public apology for his "chest breaking" remark against Chief Minister Nitish Kumar or be prepared for legal action.

"RLSP president Arun Kumar should either seek public apology for making uncharitable remarks against the CM or be prepared to face court case," state JD(U) spokesman Neeraj Kumar, MLC, told PTI.

Arun Kumar, MP while addressing mediapersons at BJP headquarters with his counterparts in BJP and LJP, had on June 27 alleged that members of a particular caste (Bhumiyar) were being targeted in Barh and Mokama areas in the wake of arrest of MLA Anant Singh.

The RLSP state chief had asserted, "We are not wearing bangles and will break chest of Chief Minister for hurting our respect."

The comment has since triggered strong reaction from RJD President Lalu Prasad.

Taking strong objection to the RLSP leader's comment, the JD(U) spokesman said he seems to have taken the word out from the "dictionary of Prime Minister Narendra Modi" which he said, proves "literary terrorism of NDA leaders on rivals," he said.
