The JD(U) will foot the bill on logistics, like tent and shamianas at the Chief Minister's Adhikar rallies in the districts next month to press for accordance of special category status to Bihar, the state unit party chief Vashisth Narayan Singh told PTI.
The political programme to mobilize public support on the special category status issue has been conceived exclusively by the JD(U) and it has decided to bear expenditure on logistics at public meetings to be held at blocks and districts beginning next month and finally at the state capital on November 4, he said.
If the Centre still failed to accord special category status to Bihar, then the JD(U) may hold mega rally at New Delhi to further press its demand, Singh said.
Regarding RJD's criticism about the Adhikar rally, Singh refuted the allegation that it was being organised to further JD(U)'s electoral prospects in 2014 general election and said the party understood the pulse of the people and wanted to articulate their aspiration for economic development and prosperity of the state.
