The JD(U) today charged its former NDA ally BJP with showing "unsolicited" concerns over Chief Minister Nitish Kumar holding large number of departments and asked them about the number of departments their own chief ministers like Narendra Modi and Shivraj Singh Chauhan are heading.

"The BJP report card issued today shows a cartoon of CM Nitish Kumar burdened with 18 departments is limping...Instead of showing unsolicited concerns they shall tell how many departments their own CMs like Narendra Modi and his Madhya Pradesh counterpart Shivraj Singh Chauhan are heading," JD(U) Bihar president Bashistha Narayan Singh told reporters.

Hours after BJP issued report card on Nitish Kumar government alleging that law and order and governance, which used to be ups of the NDA government has suffered after separation of BJP, the JD(U) lined up its state president Bashistha Narayan Singh and three past chiefs--Vijay Chaudhary, Bijendra Yadav, both ministers in state, and Rajiv Ranjan alias Lallan-- for a counter offensive.

Making a scathing attack particularly on former Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi, who issued BJP report card, they accused him of "double-speak."

A CD of Sushil Modi's speech given in the past (when he was part of NDA II) was run in the press conference in which the former Deputy CM was hailing Nitish Kumar for having impeccable record, a man of vision and providing honest leadership.

"And now what is he saying now (after separation) ... isn't it a double speak?" Singh said.
