Jeera prices fell by Rs 490, or 2.82 per cent, to Rs 16,910 per quintal in futures trade today as speculators booked profits at prevailing levels amid lower domestic and exports demand at the spot market.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, jeera for delivery in March fell by Rs 490, or 2.82 per cent, at Rs 16,910 per quintal, with an open interest of 4,671 lots.

Similarly, the spice for delivery in April moved down by Rs 425, or 2.49 per cent, at Rs 16,675 per quintal in 3,411 lots.
