Jeera prices plunged 2.11 per cent to Rs 14,350 per quintal in futures trade today as speculators reduced their bets, tracking a weak trend at spot market on low demand.
Furthermore, adequate stocks in the physical market on higher supplies from producing regions weighed on jeera prices.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, jeera for delivery in January dropped by Rs 310, or 2.11 per cent to Rs 14,350 per quintal with an open interest of 9,525 lots.
