Jeera goes up on rising demand

Jeera prices rose by Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale kirana market in the national capital today on increased offtake against restricted supplies from producing regions.

Marketmen said pick up in demand from stockists and retailers against restricted supplies from producing belts, mainly attributed the rise in jeera prices.

Jeera common and best quality were up by Rs 100 each to 16,400-16,600 and Rs 18,600-19,100 per quinal, respectively.
