Jeera prices fell by Rs 200 per quintal at the wholesale kirana market today on increased selling by stockists amid higher supplies from producing belts against subdued demand.
Traders said besides fall in demand, adequate stocks positions on higher supplies from producing belts mainly kept pressure on jeera prices.
In the national capital, jeera common, best quality lost another Rs 200 each to Rs 16,100-16,600 and Rs 19,600-20,100 per quintal, respectively.

Ajwain (per kg) 150-185, black pepper (per kg) 560-740, betel-nut (kg) 300-350, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 1,690-1,700 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 1,800-1,900.
Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 770-830, cardamom (colour robin) 770-790, cardamom bold 780-800, cardamom extra (bold) 910-960 and cloves 710-830.
