Jeev, who has an injured trigger finger, returned to the course last week and finished 31st in an event in Japan. He has four wins on Japan Tour and this year he already has a win in Europe in the Scottish Open.
But after that and the British Open, he was forced to take a break due to injury.
Last week's winner in Taipei, Gaganjeet Bhullar, this year SAIL-SBI Open winner, Anirban Lahiri, Digivijay Singh, winner of Panasonic Open India this year, Jyoti Randhawa, who won his only title in Japan in 2003, SSP Chowrasia, a two-time European Tour title winner, Shiv Kapur, Himmat Rai and Chiragh Kumar make up a strong Indian challenge for the USD 1.9 million event, co-sanctioned by Asian and Japan Tours.
Thai Thongchai Jaidee twisted his right ankle but they will play through the pain barrier at the Higashi Hirono Golf Club.
Other leading lights include defending champion Tetsuji Hiratsuka, Ryo Ishikawa and Anirban Lahiri and current Order of Merit leader Marcus Fraser of Australia.
"It was nice to win again after more than two years. I am playing really well and I am going to be playing a lot from here on. I want to get into the big events and improve my world ranking too," Bhullar said.
"It was a great experience last week as we had to stay inside for two days because of typhoons and the course was tough," he added. (More)
