Jeev lying 19t at the Nippon Series JT Cup

Jeev is tied 19th in the tournament that has only 26 starters and there is no cut. Jeev had two birdies and three bogeys, including one on the 18th and last hole.

Hiroyuki Fujita, who has a insurmountable lead in the race for the Money List honours, looked set to win the tournament for a third successive time.

Fujita, who won the tournament in 2010 and 2011 is now five shots ahead of the nearest rival. Fujita, who opened with a 61 in the first round shot 66 in the second round to move to 13-under, five shots ahead of American Han Lee (70-62).

 

Ryo Ishikawa (67-66) was lying third in a tie with Kyung Tae Kim (66) and Toshinori Muto (69).

Jeev is a two-time former champion at the event having won in 2006 and 2008.

Jeev qualified for the tournament on the basis of his win in Scottish Open and by virtue of being a member of the Japan Tour. All Japan Tour members winning on recognised Tours around the world are eligible for this season-ending tournament.
