Actor Jeff Daniels is in negotiations for a role in the Steve Jobs biopic.
The 'Dumb and Dumber To' star could be in line to play former Apple CEO John Sculley, reported Digital Spy.
The project will be directed by Danny Boyle with a screenplay by Aaron Sorkin, who Daniels has collaborated with on 'The Newsroom'.

The biopic has already seen the loss of original star Christian Bale, and has moved to Universal from Sony .
