Jeffrey Tambor thanked the transgender community for inspiring his performance in "Transparent" that earned him the best actor in a comedy series honour at the 2015 Emmy Awards.
The story of the comedy drama series revolves around a Los Angeles family and their lives following the discovery that the person they knew as their father Maura Pfefferman (Tambor)is transgender.
Dedicating his win to the community, Tambor, 71, said onstage, "Thank you for your patience, thank you for your courage, thank you for your stories, thank you for your inspiration, thank you for letting us be part of the change. God bless you."

He defeated Anthony Anderson, ('Black-ish'), Louis CK ('Louie'), Don Cheadle ('House of Lies'), Will Forte ('Last Man on Earth'), Matt LeBlanc ('Episodes'), William H Macy ('Shameless') in the category.
The 67th Primetime Emmy Awards took place at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
