Actress Jessica Alba says bad movie reviews does not bother her.

The 35-year-old actress said she makes films to entertain her fans and not for critics, reported Female First.

"My latest film ('Mechanic: Resurrection') is a popcorn movie. I don't think I've ever had a good review, and you know what? I don't really care. If people walk away smiling and enjoying themselves after watching something I'm in, that's all I care about.

"I'm not in control of the edit or the writing or the promotion. No one sets out to make a bad movie, we all want it to be good. But it's a complicated thing to do and it's a miracle when it all comes together," Alba said.

The actress said she is quite choosy about the roles she takes on and decided to star in Jason Statham- starrer because her character Gina is a strong woman.

"I've only ever been attracted to characters who have that strength and toughness. That's why I wanted to play Gina.

I enjoy action films - I have seen pretty much every Jason Statham movie, and Gina is bringing something to the table that's not just the damsel in distress waiting to be rescued. "Women today are resourceful and strong.
