The Naresh Goyal-promoted airline, in which Etihad Airways holds 24 per cent stake, had in October 2011 signed a comprehensive strategic co-operation agreement with Vietnam Airlines.
"Jet Airways is delighted to provide a direct link from Delhi to Ho Chi Minh City via Bangkok and an all new daily direct frequency from Mumbai to Bangkok. The introduction of these new services are in keeping with the growing popularity amongst our guests, for enhanced seamless connectivity within the ASEAN region and India," Jet's Senior Vice President (Commercial) Gauarang Shetty said.
The Ho Chi Minh City will be the airline's 22nd global destination.
The new afternoon service from Mumbai for Bangkok would provide seamless connectivity to passengers from the airline's domestic network, it said, claiming that this would make Jet the only domestic carrier to operate three flights a day on the Mumbai-Bangkok sector.
