A jewel thief clad in a suit and swinging an umbrella in his hand walked into a top US jewellery store here and swiped two necklaces worth USD 90,000 in a daylight robbery, police has said.
The dapper thief asked to see two diamond necklaces at Tiffany's Fifth Avenue store and the clerk laid the pieces on the counter, they said.
The clerk turned away while the man looked over the pricey baubles, the New York Post reported.
