Unidentified miscreants broke into a house here and stole gold jewellery and cash worth lakhs of rupees, police said.
The incident took place on the intertwining night of Friday and yesterday when five unknown thieves broke into the house of one Ramesh Chandra while he was away. They stole two gold chains, three rings and some other jewellery along with Rs 6000 cash, police said.
An FIR against the unidentified persons has been lodged in the case. No arrests have been made so far. The stolen items are yet to be recovered, they said.
