A retired defence personnel today claimed that jewellery worth Rs 18 lakh had gone missing from his locker after which an FIR was lodged against bank officials.

Kasna Police station incharge Sudhir Tyagi said, "The FIR has been lodged against bank officials and investigation started. The FIR was lodged on a complaint of retired defence personnel Rajesh Sharma, an NRI. Forensic tests will be done to get to the truth."

Bank officials, however, claimed that the complainant was lying and that the claim report was false.

Sharma claimed in the FIR that on June 15, he had kept jewellery worth Rs 18 lakh at the bank locker. When his wife opened the locker on December 4, the jewellery was missing.
