Three robbers looted gold and silver jewellery worth Rs 50 lakh at gunpoint from a jeweller shop in Bihar's Buxar district on Friday, the police said.
The shop owner alleged that a man who had purchased jewelleries from him several times was one of the robbers.
That man came to his shop at Thatheri Bazar More under Town police station area here and when jewelleries were being shown to him, he brandished a handgun and tied him in a chair while his two accomplices looted the shop, police said.
The shop owner told the police that he somehow managed to free himself and reached the police station.
Police said investigations have started from all the angles.
