Journalists' Forum Assam (JFA) today urged Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar to investigate the attack on a local media house in Agartala in which three people including a journalist were killed.

A statement issued by JFA president Rupam Barua and secretary Nava Thakuria expressed deep shock over the killings and urged Sarkar to probe it and compensate the families of victims.

"Attack on a newspaper house will not be tolerated under any circumstance and we demand justice," the statement said.

The Forum would also help and cooperate with the media fraternity in Tripura in their fight for justice.

Motorcycle-borne assailants barged into the office of 'Dainik Ganadoot' at the Palace Compound yesterday in Agartala and stabbed to death the office manager, a proof reader and a driver.
