Jharkhand Assembly pays tribute to departed MLA

Jharkhand Assembly was today adjourned to pay tribute to JMM MLA Anil Murmu, who passed away yesterday, after his body was brought to the precincts of the state Assembly.

Assembly Speaker Dinesh Oraon, Chief Minister Raghubar Das, leader of opposition Hemant Soren and others paid tributes to the 46-year-old legislator.

Later, the body was taken to the office of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha.

He would be accorded state funeral tomorrow at his native village in Dumka district, sources said.

The MLA had been brought to Dumka Sadar Hospital in a critical condition with low blood pressure yesterday and a doctors' team declared him dead.
