Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Saturday said that cities in the state will not be allowed to become 'concrete jungles'.

He said from now on, no construction work on any vacant government land will be allowed without the state government's permission.

Soren, who was here for an event, asked Dumka district officials to make a list of vacant government lands and dilapidated buildings, an official release said here.

The state government will keep the cities clean and green and not let them become 'concrete jungle', Soren was quoted as saying.

He urged people of the state to remain united "so that no one could disturb the harmony", the release said.
