Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghuvar Das and two others today appeared before a court here in connection with the alleged violation of model code of conduct during the 2009 Assembly election here.

Das appeared before the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Ajit Kumar Singh along with Chandrasekhar Mishra, former BJP East Singhbhum district committee president, and one Ramphal Mishra.

The court has recorded the statement of the three.

A case had been registered against the three after an Election Commission official accused them of opening a party election office in the premises of Ramphal Mishra without prior permission of the district administration which violated the model code of conduct.
